This project transformed the kitchen in a 1908 New Westminster home into a functional, welcoming space. Motawi tiles determined the colour story, while heritage-inspired touches like oiled bronze finishes and playful wallpaper blended period charm with modern design.
After recovering from surgery, a vibrant retiree wanted a home that supported her active lifestyle and plans for aging in place. Practical kitchen upgrades, aesthetic updates for her living spaces, and safety improvements in her main bathroom, create a home that blends comfort with timeless design.
This renovation turned a dark, outdated home into a bright, functional space. Walls were removed for light and flow, with pot lights and an off-white palette enhancing airiness. The kitchen gained counter and storage space, the bathroom was redesigned for comfort and safety with a walk-in shower, and custom millwork in the office adds a personal touch.
