Endings, Beginnings, and a Little Cosmic Mischief

Endings, Beginnings, and a Little Cosmic Mischief

December always sneaks up like a trickster. One minute you’re basking in midsummer, the next you’re blinking at the calendar wondering how the year sprinted past. 2025 has been no exception. (Honestly, who keeps hitting fast‑forward on the cosmic remote? I’d like a word.)

Autumn brought my big plot twist. Stuart, my dear friend and former business partner, set off on a new adventure abroad, leaving me to run Heartspace solo again. Cue dramatic soundtrack and a few “what now?” moments. It was uncomfortable, sure, but it cracked open space for change. Sometimes the universe hands you lemons, and sometimes it just swipes your business partner and says, “Surprise! Character development!”

Astrology became my compass. When I feel stuck, I look up. Not because I take it as gospel, but because the planets are dramatic enough to give me something playful to work with. This year, leaning into that spiritual path helped me navigate endings and imagine beginnings.

Which brings me to the sky right now: as I write this, December’s Cold Moon is rising, the last supermoon of 2025. She’s bigger, brighter, and strutting across the night like she knows she’s the main character. Traditionally called the Long Night Moon, she fits the season perfectly as we cozy into these dark evenings. In Gemini, the sign of restless twins, this moon invites conversation, exchange, and the release of old stories. Basically, she’s saying: “Talk it out, let it go, make room for the new.”

Of course, the skies have been messy, just like life. Retrogrades everywhere, stirring up delays, detours, and déjà vu. Mercury finally went direct on November 29, untangling words and wires, and Neptune will follow on December 10, clearing the fog. Think of it like the record player finally getting unstuck. The music isn’t perfect yet, but at least the melody is moving forward again.

And while the Chinese zodiac won’t officially shift until February, the Fire Horse energy is already pawing at the ground. After the slow winding paths of the Wood Snake, the Fire Horse gallops in with wild possibility. Translation: buckle up, it’s about to get spicy.

Meanwhile, on the ground, I’ve been rebuilding Heartspace Interiors from the inside out. A business bootcamp is helping me revisit the basics with fresh eyes. A new networking group is bringing new friendships and community (not to mention the chance to launch a chapter closer to home — more on that soon!). Systems, routines, and practices are slowly being reshaped, not just for efficiency but for joy.

Letting go has been another lesson. Following Stuart’s journey from afar, I’ve resisted the urge to swoop in with constant messages. My big sister energy is strong for someone who’s technically an only child, but this autumn reminded me that sometimes love means loosening your grip and trusting that space can be its own kind of care. (Also: resisting the urge to send him memes every five minutes. Growth, people. Growth.)

Transformation has also taken a more tangible form. In January I’ll begin working with a personal stylist to revamp my look. Outer change can anchor inner change, and I’m ready for a little sparkle in my wardrobe to match the sparkle in my spirit. Think sequins, but make it strategic.

Endings became beginnings. Challenges became catalysts. Change became something to dance with rather than fear. Heartspace is evolving, and so am I.

As the year closes, I’m grateful for the lessons, the community, and the cosmic mischief that kept me moving. However you mark this season - with celebration, with quiet, or with something in between -may it bring rest, joy, and a touch of magic. And if you’re reading this as a stranger who stumbled across my words, welcome. Pull up a chair, pour yourself something cozy, and let’s gallop into 2026 together, glitter optional but highly encouraged.
